Red Ocotillo in Borrego Springs

Awesome breakfast (our table had the quiche, crab cake Benedict, and a traditional breakfast). Highly recommend stopping by if you’re in the area. Also... I’d like to mention that our server was probably the hardest working person I’ve seen in the past year. She hustled the whole time we were in there taking orders, filling coffee, checking in, and bussing tables at a rate that is rare in any profession. Keep up the good work Red Ocotillo!

We came to this place almost everyday on our vacation to Borrego Springs. The fact they’re an organic farm to table restaurant complete with their own garden on site is what sold me. Diana was our server each time and she’s truly a gem and reflects this establishments high standards.

Wonderful service and delicious food. They have beautiful manicured grounds and I love the the outside lighting at night. Love their Sunday special fried chicken, can't be beat.🍽🍽🍽🍽

Great local food.One of if not the best food in the area.Affordably priced and great service.Had the cabbage wraps tonight and it had a great flavor.Wife loved the tavo salad and the kid now has a favorite burger in the area.The depth of the tomato sauce suprised me as it had a great flavor without the acidity.A beautiful plating, and great server.Thanks.

Probably the "hippest" restaurant in Borrego Springs. Cool little building with it's own kitchen garden. The food is usually great and the service is good (a bit of an odd crew). Definitely check them out if you are looking for a good meal in Borrego.

Much better choice than Carlee's. Food is way better here, and the patio dining is awesome. We brought our beagle who benefited from some free bacon the waitress had brought her. Prices are about on par with most places these days, service was very friendly, though slow as others have said.

Absolutely fantastic. I had the patty melt and wasn't disappointed. I'll definitely go back for more off the menu!Update, went back and I split an order of crab cakes and a patty melt with a friend. Very nice! The burgers are huge and the crab cakes were pretty good.

Food and service was amazing. The chicken wings were seasoned so well. We will come back.

Food was excellent. On a hot day, it was nice to be able to enter the cool restaurant and have promp service. Each of our drinks came with an extra carafe so there is no waiting for refills.

Good food & friendly service! Burgers (Beyond & beef) were excellent, club sammy and the beef stroganoff were great, would definitely come here again.

My husband had a great 1/2 lbsBacon Burger and I had one of the best Ruben sandwiches I've had in a long time! We definitely would eat there again $$$

Cute little restaurant with outdoor seating. Food and staff were good. We didn't get it, but the seasonal cobbler looked amazing!

Just finished delicious bacon avocado cheese burger, the Wednesday early bird special. The meal included a lovely salad, and was under $10. Teamed with a happy hour beer an even better bargin. We will retun. And we loved the Santa Chicken.

Fun place to eat near Christmas Circle. Ruben sandwich is the best. Stuffed Cabbage rolls are delish. Liver and onions w bacon and gravy (if your adventurous)

Food was fine. Service was slow. Poor servers were stressed and scrambling...only two of them for the entire restaurant at lunch time on a Saturday. Getting in and out for a sandwich and fries took over an hour.

If you are in ABS, please do yourself a favor and pay Red Oco a visit! Even during the Covid, u can do a take out and enjoy their garden on your way out! Food =5, people=5. They are the best stop in ABS!

It is an organic, farm vegetable to table restaurant. Twelve tables inside six tables outside. The chicken marsala as excellent as their burgers, sandwich, beans and breakfast are great tasting! The eight times we have visited, not one negative comment.CLEAN FOOD, YOU CAN TASTE... PS. THE COOK KNOWS HOW!!!

Not bad in terms of breakfast options, good portions, tasty enough.Except that everything was lukewarm -- the eggs, the pancakes, the French toasts. Hot tea and hot chocolate were not hot either, though coffee was.Kitchen seems consintently slow, so that costumers get a small slice of coffee cake while waiting for their food.Disproportinate the huge bowl of granola with a small saucer of yoghurt. Also found a piece of plastic in the fruits side -- but hey, this is the middle of a desert, and just getting food is marvelous enough!Loses another star just for accepting dogs inside the main dining room.

We eat here every time we go to borrego springs. Nice staff and great food.

Sheri was our server and executive chef Nacho was in the kitchen. I took my family March 8th for breakfast. Had a wonderful meal and good times.

Not many places to choose from out here but this one taste good. The service is kinda slow depending on who you get but other than that no complains. Plus there is a thrift store next door.

Great restaurant in a small town! Quaint restaurant serving breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Service was great and the food was delicious. Our waitress kindly brought us complimentary coffee cake before our order arrived, it was delicious and made freshly on premises. It was late morning and already warm out, so I ordered iced tea, which was freshly brewed and served with fresh mint and a slice of lemon. I had the huevos rancheros (which the waitress related was one of her favorites), and it was great, served with fresh, ripe avocados and onion slices. The kids had French toast and pancakes, which were also very tasty. We asked for crispy bacon, which they prepared perfectly.

Very good food. Not a speedy place, but a place to relax. Nice music.We've only had breakfasts, but eggs were always done perfectly.

i love it here! food is fresh and tasty and some comes from their own onsite garden and the ambiance is great and it's air conditioned and friendly service... the only thing is there are these trivial pursuit cards on all the tables so i always leave here feeling like not a genius.. but at least i feel like a non genius with a happy tummy!!!!

This spot offers superb service and enjoyable food. My favourite place around town. The meals served quick and the rates were inexpensive. Highly recommended.

Three servers kept walking past me while I waited and waited to order. I showed up well before 6:00 p.m. I wanted to order the special...but it was 6:03 when they finally got around to taking my order. They said it was (3 minutes) too late for me to get the special. I ate anyway. The food was good, but they overcharged me by $1.00. I let them know about it. I would still recommend this restaurant.

Stopped for some desert dinner after hiking around the Galleta Meadow and was pleasantly surprised to find such a little gem. Our server was prompt and friendly and got everything right. My guy got the Reuben, baked beans, and side of tots and I got the cold peanut sesame noodle salad. Both portions were huuuge and we had leftovers for later. Happy with the experience. Also, the bathroom was decorated for Halloween, so cute 🎃, but more importantly, was very clean and fresh.

Big portions - nicely seasoned - pleasant staff - dog friendly! We visited here again in 2018. Really enjoyed ourselves. Our pups met some new friends. In our opinion this is the best breakfast spot in town and it is right near Christmas Circle and also there is a large thrift shop within easy walking distance. Beautiful desert landscaping.
